About La Cappo "Tree Spirits"
“La Cappo” offers walking sticks that carry “tree spirits”. Each product is carefully handcrafted in Kiba, Fukagawa—a town where wood has been an integral part of culture for some 300 years since the Edo era—by experienced craftsmen who have the deepest knowledge about woods, using precious woods meticulously selected from various regions across Japan and the world.
The walking sticks are made with devoted attention to details, choosing only woods with beautiful grain colors and textures.
The name “La Cappo” comes from the Japanese term “cappo”, meaning walking with perfect confidence, and represents fashionable yet whimsical and comfortable walking sticks that also support health.

Despite being a small shop, with a mere 40 square meters shop area, 33 square meters storage, and 33 square meters atelier, nothing beats “La Cappo” when it comes to expertise.
We take pride in our ability to meet any request made by our customers. Our shop, however, cannot keep thousands of walking sticks in stock.
We offer numerous designs, including the orthodox types that feature walking sticks fabricated from a single piece of wood, which requires a high degree of skill, and separate handles, each made using precious woods carefully selected from various regions across Japan and the world. Customers also have a variety of ferrules to choose from, such as ivory, water buffalo horns and silver.

have been considered auspicious since ancient times are displayed inside and outside the shop.

The culture of the walking stick, which was once a gentleman’s walking accessory, has opened an entirely new chapter.
With “Ichi Boku Ichi Jyo (One Tree, One Walking Stick)” as its motto, “La Cappo”, situated in a district traditionally known for its lumber yards since the Edo era, welcomes its customers into a world of walking sticks, where the shafts, whose materials are hand-picked from precious woods across the world, are true wooden gems. From the bending of the handles that requires skills beyond compare to the delicate ferrules, each walking stick is an entirely unique product fabricated with the utmost care and accuracy and a symbol reflecting the character and status of its owner.
