Owner Introduction
The tradition of Kiba, Fukagawa—a town where wood has been an integral part of culture for some 300 years since the Edo era—still lives on in Shin-Kiba. The journey began with the question, “What is a stylish walking stick?” Once we had our concept, we then moved on to selecting materials and creating designs, followed by putting together an integrated system that covers all processes from manufacturing to sales. All of this took roughly ten years to realize.
This is currently the only shop in Japan. Although it’s a tiny shop that’s only 40 m2 , I began this project because I loved walking sticks more than anything else in the world. “La Cappo” specializes in fully custom-made walking sticks and offers a wide range of selections. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have regarding walking sticks.
From the traditional walking sticks fabricated from a single piece of wood to those with a separate handle and even the decorative types—each made using precious woods carefully selected from various regions across Japan and the world—we strive to create stylish, graceful and classy walking sticks our customers will treasure for years.
Please come and see us.
We are looking forward to your next visit.
